Learning Strategist Teacher (JK-8)

(Continuing Contract, 1.0 FTE, beginning August 21, )

Established in and located in the heart of downtown Toronto, The Rosedale Day School (RDS) is an independent, co-educational school serving students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. The Rosedale Day School is currently seeking a full time Learning Strategist Teacher to begin on August 26, . The role of the Learning Strategist is to support faculty in meeting the needs of all the learners, as well as supporting students who have specific learning differences. A caring aptitude for differentiated learning styles and a passion for educating the whole student are expected. This teacher is a member of the Student Success Centre, and reports to the Centre Coordinator and Assistant Head of School.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Education Degree with additional qualifications in Special Education

Eligible for an Ontario Teaching Certificate (Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate)

Knowledge of Project Based Learning and The Design Thinking Approach to Problem Solving

Working knowledge and classroom experience with Google Apps for Education, Hapara Workspace and assistive technology apps

Previous Independent School experience is considered an asset
