The Human Resources Coordinator, under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, will primarily be responsible to maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete personnel records while acting as a direct support to the Human Resources Manager. This position will monitor human resources related documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance to business processes. This role will also advise employees and managers on the location and content of human resources policies, compensation and benefit programs, and attendance and leave of absence related information.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Track and manage key human resources metrics, and distribute established reports
- Maintain and monitor human resources information and related records systems in compliance with applicable legislation and to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance to business processes
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete personnel records
- Eliminate unnecessary or outdated materials, destroying them or transferring them to inactive storage according to file maintenance and legislative requirements
- Maintain and manage all WSIB claims and processes company-wide, ensuring compliance with all appropriate regulation/legislation
- Notify and liaise with Lead Supervisor where WSIB processes require clinical assessment and/or leadership, and follow the direction provided
- Prepare and post organizational announcements and notices, including compliment cards to field staff
- Ensure department leadership’s awareness and compliance with relevant and occupational health and safety legislation
- Sit as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) as appropriate
- Draft memoranda, correspondence, policies, reports, proposals, job descriptions, policies, and other employment documentation on request by HR Leadership
- Conduct exit interviews with resigning employees to gain a more in-depth understanding as to why they are resigning
- Implement as directed employee/personnel programs, including attendance management processes, service requirements training, and health and safety programs, among others
- Ensure accurate attendance documentation for all field and office non-management staff including sick days, vacation days, leaves of absences tracking and reporting
- Track and manage all leave of absence requests, and related follow-up and return to work processes and documentation requirements
- Track, facilitate, and manage the change in approved Status Change requests by management and staff
- Manage the Workplace Accommodation Request process, excluding approval, ensuring staff and management complete such processes in a timely and efficient manner
- Stay abreast on compliance requirements and industry best practices; recommend changes or modifications to existing policies and programs to remain in compliance; and adopt best practices where feasible
- Participate in professional development activities to improve knowledge and skills
- Support and assist Human Resources Manager with ongoing projects as needed

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-Secondary Education with a specialization in Human Resources or a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is considered an asset
- One year of related experience
- Strong knowledge of applicable WSIB and health and safety (JHSC) legislation
- Ability to read and interpret legislation
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Knowledge of and exposure to a range of human resources activities, including some of the following: recruitment, orientation, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, and employee communications
- Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
