As a Regional Machine Operator Trainer, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

- Providing training, assessment, and certification on proper and safe use of machine handling equipment in a distribution centre environment.
- Provide yearly recertification sessions to all machine operators for specified sites.
- Prepare, maintain, and record assessment and certification files.
- Maintain complete records pertaining to machine handling operators including assessments, training, certifications, and incidents.
- Complete spot audit assessments.
- Following and enforcing company policies/procedures and Quality/safety/HR related policies and procedures.
- Being an active member of each sites’ workplace heath and safety committees.
- Being an active member of safety incident investigation process as it pertains to material handling equipment which would include possible recertification of operator.
- Being an active member of new employee onboarding as it pertains to machine handling equipment.
- Create, implement, and maintain updated training documentation and materials as well as assessment forms.
- Overseeing safety and compliance issues, implementing, and maintaining safety and compliance procedures.
- Ensuring daily reporting of operational/quality requirements are completed.
- Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
- Performing special projects as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have 3+ years’ leadership experience in an operations or distribution environment; experience with E-commerce and/or a distribution center will be a plus.
- A College Diploma or equivalent is required, a background in logistics/supply chain will be a plus.
- Appropriate license(s)/training as it pertains to the position.
- Ability to provide leadership to a diverse group of employees.
- Ability to train, motivate, coach and counsel others.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with customers and employees.
- Must possess problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making and planning/organizing skills.
- Excellent written/oral communication and excellent listening skills.
- Ability to multi-task and excellent time management and computer skills.
- Must be creative and possess the ability to think outside the box.
- Must be able to work days and/or afternoons.
- Travel: 75% locally and to the US; Must be legally able to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship.

**Work Environment & Physical Demands**
- Fast paced distribution center environment.
- Conveyor machinery noise; material handling equipment traffic.
- Willing to work afternoon shift as may be required.
- Constant standing and walking through the shift.
- Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Some kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Some work on a computer on a desk.
- Ascending and descending stairs, ladders, and ramps.
