Human Resources Co-op Student

Ideally, this individual must be driven, motivated, and willing to assist in the delivery of Human Resources processes and provide administrative support. This individual should also be open to learning and working as a team.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education/Experience**
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (diploma or degree) in Human Resources.
**Technical Skills/Competence**
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Professional, friendly and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Practices and maintains integrity while following the Almag’s policies and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- High attention to detail.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
The duties and responsibilities of the Human Resources Co-op Student are detailed below, but not limited to the following:
- Provides administrative support within the Human Resources department including: filing of documents, creating and maintaining employee folders, organizing and preparing for meetings, and review/sort/respond to incoming correspondence, and updating trackers and reports.
- Assist with recruitment process, including posting jobs, screening and reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and background checks.
- Responsible for the execution of the uniform program.
- Update HR relevant communications, PowerPoint television slides and lunchroom communication boards.
- Coordinate and schedule all mandatory internal and external training.
- Create and update training matrix and maintain training documents for all employees.
- Prepare, distribute, input, edit and proofread correspondence, memos, invoices, presentations, publications, reports and related material as needed.
- Supports events and functions as required.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
