**JOB PURPOSE**
As a Lighting Advisor, you provide lighting to small-mid size residential projects by engaging and supporting builders, designers, and electricians. You contribute to the revenue growth of Design Lighting by identifying and establishing relationships with new customers, nurturing existing customer accounts, and exceeding sales targets.

**KEY RESULT AREAS**
- Prospect and generate high quality leads and convert them into sales
- Attend networking events and professionally represent the company
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales (revenue and margin) targets
- Maintain a high customer retention rate by nurturing existing client relationships and providing exceptional customer service
- Continuously improve on product knowledge. Attend vendor meetings, learning events and provide cost saving packages
- Provide complete handoff and documentation
- Track all activities in CRM. Attend system training sessions
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Prospecting and Customer Acquisition**:
- Represent the company at tradeshows, events and offsite meetings to build awareness
- Identify and target potential customers to generate leads and opportunities for new business
- Conduct market research to identify new upcoming projects, determine trends, customer needs, and direct or potential competitors
**Relationship Management**:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors to negotiate project specific pricing
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating, follow-ups and addressing inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction
**Sales and Revenue Generation**:
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales (revenue and margin) targets by employing effective sales techniques and negotiation skills
- Prepare accurate sales proposals and quotes for clients, ensuring alignment with their project specifications and budgets
- Manage the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing deals.
- Place purchase orders with suppliers and track and monitor lead times
- Ensure product(s) are received, stored and delivered
- Facilitate Transactions
**Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales progress using our CRM software
- Generate regular sales reports to track performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with sales management to identify and implement personal continuous improvement strategies and attend training as required
- Provide complete documentation to other departments within the organization
**Product Knowledge and Education**:
- Acquire and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Design Lighting's product offerings, vendors, price points, features, and benefits
- Stay updated on industry trends (design trends and technical trends), new technologies, and competitor products to effectively position our offerings in the market
- Collaborate with clients to provide tailored lighting solutions that align with their construction project requirements

- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in all documentation
