**Operations Support Administrator (Contract)**

Primarily remote/with in office work and meetings as required

Must have valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and be a commutable distance from our Etobicoke office.

Start date: October 16th, 2024

End date: March 31st, 2025 with potential for permanent employment

**Overview**:
Support Ontario Youth is committed to our team members and clients. We know that clear communication, collaboration, and teamwork are the key to a successful workplace. We are looking for an Operation Support Administrator to help support the daily operations of our organization.

This role is well-suited to a detailed oriented and well-organized individual with strong written, verbal communication skills and solid project management skills who enjoys working autonomously and within a team environment. Ideally you will have experience with basic accounting principles, common operating systems and be software proficient.

**_Duties and Responsibilities_**
- Providing administrative support of daily operational activities and payroll processes
- Supporting the implementation and management of government grants
- Preparing and maintaining operations documents and reports
- Providing administrative support to other departments or projects as needed
- Oversee the use of accounting software for expense management
- Train staff on accounting software usage and troubleshoot any issues
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry into the system
- Provides support to internal and external parties with respect to accounting processes
- Serve as a backup for phone support, handling incoming calls and inquiries
- Performing other duties as assigned

**_ Qualifications:_**
- Diploma or Degree in business administration, accounting/bookkeeping, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in office administration with a focus in accounting or database management
- Time management, organizational and multitasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals
- Able to display confidence, strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
- Must be detail and solutions-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software, more specifically in excel
