We are actively looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Niagara Falls. Are you a self-motivated, outgoing individual with a knack for building relationships? As an Inside Sales Rep, you'll have the opportunity to play a critical role as the key point of contact for our customers to drive growth in the business. We are looking for a driven, results oriented individual who thrives on building relationships, generating new business and providing outstanding customer services.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Qualify opportunities by responding to requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments in a timely fashion
- Retrieve customer information, stock status information, the status of orders, and make changes on customer orders.
- Follows up on inquiries by checking computer for delivery information. Works closely with shipping in production control regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments.
- Checks with credit department concerning credit status of customer
- Works closely with distributors to source products for customer requests
- Maintains files of active orders and posts activity such as change notices, scheduling changes, partial shipments, and credit changes.
- Prepares paperwork (original purchase order, copies of invoice, and return goods memo) to be given to accounting department for credit or debit to be issued.
- Work closely with Outside Sales Representative to develop new accounts
- Take a pro-active approach in calling customers to solicit new business opportunities
Work with Product Development Manager as required.
**Experience and Education Required**:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Marketing combined with a minimum of 3 years experience in sales, customer service or similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence potential clients
- Motivated and driven to win with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated resiliency with the ability to maintain a positive demeanor while working through challenging discussions
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a customer first mindset
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Background in steel or construction sales would be considered an asset
