- Ram Iron & Metal is looking for an
- ** Account Manager and Purchasing Agent to join our Team. You will be responsible for a territory in Ontario. You will be responsible** for providing sales effort to existing customer base, while prospecting for new customers.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain existing and acquiring new customer accounts. This would include, but not be limited to the following:

- Ensure continual customer visits.
- Provide support to customers.
- Ensure follow-up visits to customers as appropriate and as needed.
- Solicit new customers by following up on targeted prospect list, warm leads and cold calls, trade show lead, etc.
- Generate and complete new customer set-up package for approval by Senior Management, and
- Provide informative sessions for new customers.
- Submit reports and documents to Senior Management for review and or approval. This could include:

- Special pricing requested by customers.
- Summary of monthly calls from new and existing accounts.
- Summary of old business and expected new business.
- Records and reports with respect to purchases, and future prospects
- Ensure to meet purchase quotas and objectives as established by Senior Management
- Provide Senior Management with feedback pertaining to market affairs.
- Develop sales and marketing strategies for Canadian markets and other markets if applicable.
- Manage purchases and marketing budget for territory, including expenses.
- Provide support to the Accounting department when directed by Senior Management.
- Participate in meetings.
- Participate in attending trade shows.
- Establish and maintain distribution networks for products and services.
- Initiate market research studies and analyze findings.
- Advertise managerial plans as directed by Senior Management team
- Evaluate the activities of other businesses that develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote the sales of products and services, and
- Complete forms when necessary. This could include:

- Customer Survey and Feedback
- Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management

**Qualifications/Education**
- Minimum of two plus (2+) years work experience in account management and metal recycling industry an asset.- Experience and proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Experience with extensive traveling.
- Valid driver's license and active insurance vehicle policy
- B.A., preferably in Business or Marketing is an asset

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to effectively problem solve and recognize potential problems.
- Self-reliant and entrepreneurial, ability to follow through on assignments in the absence of guidance.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to make formal and informal presentations in front of small and large audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast pace, dynamic atmosphere.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with short timelines.
