RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates and has direct responsibility for a project or specific set of tasks related to the business unit as it pertains to nutrition labelling services and other related programs. Provides technical and administrative support services for client driven project activities.
- Organizes and implements administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties.
- Generates compliant nutrition fact tables, ingredient lists and allergen declarations.
- Draft, edit and prepare correspondence, reports and other material using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases. May include processing and filing invoices.
- Prepares and maintains relevant work records, reviews documents, expense reports, timesheets, tracks document control etc.
- Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications within the team including responding to routine inquiries and communicating with established clients to support ongoing projects.
- May coordinate or assist with coordination of events both on and off premises.
- May act as a liaison for area of responsibility (AOR) with internal and external stakeholders.
- May assist in training staff members and collaborate with others to accomplish AOR goals.
- Participates in courses, conferences, and other training opportunities in order to expand regulatory knowledge base. Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health and Safety program and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum post-secondary school degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related discipline, or equivalent combination of work experience and education
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience including experience in providing excellent customer service
- Two (2) years of experience in a business office environment
- Exemplary communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills
- Preferably prior knowledge of the principles, practices and regulations pertaining to food labeling
