**International Program Officer**

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Program Development, Management, and evaluation**
- Lead in the management and monitoring of Beautiful World Canada’s programs and initiatives; draft and prepare agency agreements, verify budgets; track, review, and follow-up on narrative and financial reports from our local partners and ensure partner compliance with approved budgets and program deliverables
- Liaise and maintain relationships with our program partners to ensure strong communication and alignment is maintained to improve program outcomes and results.
- Track agency agreements, budgets, and program activities. Collect program related costs, monitor budgets and costs to ensure financial accountability through timely reconciliation and reduction of financial risks.
- Build strong, respectful relations; foster strong communication to enhance program outcomes and positive sustainable partnerships.
- Track, review, and follow-up on partner reports and ensure partner compliance with budgets and program deliverables.
- Manage and accurately track program beneficiary information, complete program information including student data, grades, progress, stipend distribution etc.
- Conduct and track timely student progress evaluations and/or engage with students through phone calls. Report any issues related to students' progress and well-being.
- Work with local partners on donor or funder guidelines and requirements. Monitor program compliance with expectations and regulations.
- Work with the Executive Director to develop an evaluation system to collect, analyze and report on program progress.
- Support the organization with other program and fundraising duties as assigned.
- **Financial Monitoring, tracking, and Reporting**:

- Manage program budgets, expenses, complete quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial reports.
- Collaborate with local partners to prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, resolve financial issues to decrease risks associated with poor financial tracking and accountability practices.
- Hold local partners accountable for efficient financial management and submission of complete financial reports.

**Eligibility Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with high level finance and budget management experience; with budget/expense tracking, auditing, and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated experience in financial documentation, tracking and reporting. Ability to pay attention to detail on critical aspects of finance and program management.
- High-level Proficiency in MS Excel and experience using the tools to track detailed budgets, program information and outcomes
- Experience in international development and/or program or project management recommended.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with an ability to provide clear, detailed, and timely reports.
- Ability to work in a team environment and a passion for improving girls' lives through education.
- Capacity to keep track of vast amounts of detailed information and take joy in meticulous tracking and organization of information
- Hybrid work environment.

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
