The Role:
The Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market plan aligning the value proposition of Medcan’s suit of services to large corporations and partners in Canada- Establish, maintain, and effectively manage a robust pipeline from lead to close- Achieve established KPI's and business development targets, including team objectives- Lead RFP processes, client proposals and agreements to secure new corporate business- Lead collaborative opportunity planning efforts for strategic deals, proactively involving internal stakeholders, leads contract negotiations- Solutions-based selling based on the needs of the prospect, and upselling/cross-selling products that meet their needs- Unearthing new sales opportunities through networking, participating in events, and social corporate gatherings- Provide health and employee insights to prospects, always staying abreast of current health and wellness news/trends- Negotiate agreements, and keep records of contracts- Daily CRM management, active participation in weekly meetings and discussions

The Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of successful business development experience servicing mid and enterprise accounts- Experience with group benefits either with an insurer and/or a consulting firm is an asset- Experience consulting on innovative solutions, advising on value and ROI- Effective in negotiating contracts with decision-makers- Proven track record in achieving sales targets- Ability to establish relationships at the executive level with existing and prospective clients for purposes of understanding the short/long term needs, identifying business development opportunities, and negotiating/closing complex contracts- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills in developing solutions for complex client/business issues-
- Experience with Salesforce and other key sales-enablement tools- Articulate and persuasive executive-level communication skills, polished, and professional- High organizational and time-management skills- Enthusiastic and passionate- BSc or BA in business administration, sales, consulting, or marketing

This is a full-time position that is scheduled primarily during business hours Monday through Friday, and will report to the Director, Business Development. The position will have a hybrid work set-up with opportunity to work from home, and in the office at our 150 York St location in downtown Toronto 2 days a week. Participation in after-hours networking events and between customer meetings is expected.
