**Education**:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical or applied science with specialization* in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR).
- The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

Degree equivalency

**Experience**:
Experience in the operation of analytical chemistry instruments including nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers.
Experience in chemistry preparation techniques and results validation for the chemical analysis of samples.
Experience in the acquisition, analysis, and interpretation of 2-dimensional NMR data for structural elucidation.
Experience in producing scientific writing such as reports or manuscripts.

Knowledge of safe work practices such as Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act in a chemical laboratory environment.
