**About the Organization**

Face of Today Foundation is a youth resource and support centre serving vulnerable youth in East Vancouver neighborhoods. Our goal is to provide a safe space for youth to form a community. We partner with like-minded community members and after school programs to provide valuable opportunities to the youth we serve. We align our programming around our core values, “C.A.R.E”, short for Community Accountability, Resiliency & Empowerment.

With over 100 youth in the centre on a weekly basis engaged in mentorship, tutoring and various programs. Currently, 99% of our kids are IBPOC. Face of Today Foundation is proud to serve the local community and do our best to provide quality mentors, opportunities and support services.

We acknowledge that the Face of Today resource centre operates on the traditional and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱ wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples who have been stewards of this land from time immemorial.

**About the Role**

Face of Today is looking for a Youth Program Coordinator reporting to the Director of Operations to join our team. This role will require a highly organized and relational person to support all youth program scheduling, supervision, delivery and completion. An important aspect of this role will be to develop and maintain positive relationships with youth, community partners and program staff. Experience working with the vulnerable sector and a willingness to learn from and create genuine connections with the community that gathers in our centre. The Youth Program Coordinator will play a vital role in helping young people in our community thrive.

Currently all programs take place after school and will require a Monday to Friday 12pm-8pm schedule with flexibility for occasional weekend support.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate youth program volunteers and activities. Support staff to ensure success of programs and partnerships
- Act as foundation liaison between program staff, participants and partners
- Reporting program recommendations to the Director of Operations
- Conceptualize new programs and implement community-based activities in a collaborative manner
- Develop, deliver and support daily scheduled activities and programs.
- Program administration and set up
- Coordinate staff and volunteer scheduling to ensure sufficient coverage for all programming
- Steward positive and safe relationships with youth, mentors and program staff.
- Assist in promoting a positive, creative and exciting learning environment for youth programs
- Ability to safely and effectively deal with emergencies, unusual incidents and behavioral challenges
- Assist in setting up and maintaining a safe and secure environment for Youth in programs
- Provide guidance and support to youth in areas such as education and career development
- Planning and organization of special events

**About You**
- 1-2 years of experience in community development or youth programming
- Administrative experience
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal
- Ability to build trusted relationships and work in a collaborative manner with donors, coworkers, youth and volunteers
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of youth
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours with notice

**Compensation**
- Full-time permanent position
- $42,000-$48,000 depending on experience
- Vacation 3 weeks to start plus winter office closure between christmas and new years
- 10 health and wellness days
- Employer paid extended healthcare
- Open to a flexible work model that supports occasional remote work days.

**Salary**: $42,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
