**What you will do**
- Work undercover in plain clothes, discreetly blending in with shoppers to observe potential theft activities.
- Patrol store aisles, monitor customer behavior, and review security camera footage for suspicious activities.
- Discreetly confront individuals suspected of theft when they attempt to leave with unpaid merchandise.
- Escort trespassers or individuals violating store policies off the premises.
- Perform arrests, detainments, and recover unpaid merchandise when necessary.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including incident reports, for thefts, policy violations, and other security-related incidents.
- Escalate situations to law enforcement when necessary, following company protocols.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
- A keen interest in asset protection and crime prevention
- Knowledge of the 5 steps to follow to identify and apprehend shoplifters
- A Valid Alberta Security License
- Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters
- Previous security experience in a retail environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Use of Force Training or PPCT training with the ability and willingness to make arrests.

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
