Event Assistant

This full-time permanent position will also support the marketing team with other projects including updating spreadsheets and inventories.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Marketing team with logistics for events including small-and large-scale events
- Maintain records of all bookings including attendees list, venue, catering, etc.
- Research vendors and suppliers to choose the best combination of quality and financial value
- Act as a liaison with the suppliers, venue managers and other contacts as needed
- Handle all of the sponsorship and golf tournaments requests received during the year
- Keep track of invoices, swag and event timelines
- Provide backup support to the Marketing team as needed
- Perform other duties as required
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 1-2 years of directly related experience as an event assistant
- Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field is an asset
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of appropriate software programs including Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
- Flexible and fast learner
- Approachable and personable
