**Job/Position Overview**

The Studio Specialist will be working with local brand ambassadors as well as internationally renowned guest artists in our studios to capture and record lesson material and stream it live to our audience across the world.

**Key Qualifications**:
Knowledge/Education/Experience
- 2+ years of professional experience working in recording studios, live production and broadcast studios
- Minimum Certificate, preferred Diploma, in Music Production, or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)
- Good knowledge and understanding of recording techniques, video capture techniques, and best mixing practices
- Valid BC driver's license

**Key Duties**:

- Works with local brand ambassadors as well as internationally renowned guest artists in our studios to capture lesson material and stream live to our audience across the world.
- Operates recording equipment in all our studios as well as location shoots
- Set up the studios prior to filming
- Assist in all levels of sound production, including sound-checking, mixing and mastering
- Troubleshoot audiovisual equipment
- Operate lighting and camera equipment for productions
- Research and Development of technical processes and workflows

**Key Responsibilities**: You will be responsible for:

- Report malfunctions in equipment or systems to the Studio Manager
- The duties of the Studio Specialist require a moderate level of autonomy
- Financial responsibilities are mínimal
- The role is exposed moderately to confidential data including all Musora’s proprietary audio and video media and procedures, personal information of managed staff members, confidential production documents containing sensitive information and contractual obligations, financial and budgetary projects within the company and more.
- Exposure or mismanagement of the above information could lead to exposing Musora Media from a legal standpoint, breaking of NDAs, corruption or loss of video and audio media, mismanagement of finances and expenditure

**Effort**

Mental Effort: A typical day consists of:

- 1-2 hours of routine mental effort for activities such as session audio preparation, setting up equipment for audio recording sessions, camera and video signal flow
- 4-6 hours of moderate mental effort operating a live broadcast, live mixing audio, live camera switching, and post-production mixing. This requires watching, listening, verifying and problem-solving.

Physical Effort: A typical day consists of:

- 1-2 hours of moderate physical work setting up for productions including, but not limited to, moving musical instruments, furniture and set pieces, placing cameras, microphones, lights and cables.
- 4-6 hours of the day would consist of low-impact physical work whilst seated mixing audio, operating a live broadcast or in meetings
