The salary range for this position is $55,000- $65,000. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity.

**What the day will look like**:
On assigned accounts, you will assist marine brokers with:

- Verify, prepare, review and issue invoices, endorsements, binders and certificates of insurance to ensure their accuracy and completion in support of the team’s service plan;
- Preparing and submitting marketing submissions to underwriters;
- Processing new policies and policy renewals, changes, additions, deletions and cancellations;
- Calculating adjustments and premiums on policies and other insurance documents;
- Communicating directly with underwriters to follow up or obtain additional information;
- Reviewing & proofreading assignments, obtaining signatures & dispensing as appropriate;
- Under the direction of the Broker, reviewing policy documentation to ensure coverage requirements have been met;
- Request loss runs;
- Update quote proposals;
- Complete policy checklists;
- Assist with benchmarking analytics;
- Assisting with the co-ordination of renewal meetings and required presentation materials with the Broker, client service team

**Additional Job Responsibilities if you have your own renewals;**:

- Negotiating with Underwriters for the best terms, conditions and competitive pricing for existing and new clients.
- Verifying all policies and documentation for accuracy in accordance with terms and conditions.
- Collaborating with Account Executives to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business.
- Analyzing client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements; preparing and communicating marketing proposals for renewals and new business.
- Negotiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the underwriting community for the ultimate benefit of the client.
- Following up and approving documentation for new contracts,
- Reviewing & proofreading assignments, obtaining signatures & dispensing as appropriate;
- Request loss runs;
- Update quote proposals;
- Complete policy checklists;
- Assist with benchmarking analytics;
- Policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals.
- Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
