**Member Representative and Broker**:

The MIABC is looking for an energetic, motivated, and career-minded insurance professional to provide professional and technical service to our local government members. The MIABC is a member-owned non-profit insurance reciprocal that provides liability coverage to over 165 local governments in British Columbia, and property and ancillary coverage to over half of our members.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Preparing quotes to members and potential members on their liability, property and ancillary insurance needs;
- Underwriting property coverage and marketing ancillary coverage;
- Answering queries on coverage needs and policy wording;
- Assisting in the preparation of RFPs and developing new insurance products;
- Preparing binders and binding coverage for new and renewal policies; and
- Working with our Claims team to ensure the progress of property claims and provide updates to members.

**Preferred qualifications include**:

- 5 to 7 years of commercial insurance experience;
- Level 2 Insurance License;
- Broad knowledge of insurance for local governments;
- An insurance designation (CAIB, CIP or CRM);
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills;
- Analytical skills; and
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
