**SCOPE OF POSITION**
**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**
- Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Environmental Sciences with a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in chemical sales and marketing, preferably within the Water Chemicals Industry.
- English, French would be considered as an asset.
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Valid passport
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
- Strong computer skills (SAP, Office)
- Strong capabilities to build relationship
- Proven verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Leader that can influence & drive actions with the ability to collaborate across various functions to achieve results
- Strong negotiating skills
- Proficient in proposing actions, identifying and illustrating opportunities, making recommendations and presenting them
- Solution oriented mindset driven by natural curiosity
- Commercial mindset (customer centric
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing water chemical’s key customers to understand needs, gain market knowledge and recommend actions.
- Identify new potential water chemical’s Key Accounts followed by understanding and development of business opportunity.
- Coordinate relationship activity at Key Accounts involving SLT, Business Management and functions (supply chain, customer service, manufacturing).
- Ensure relationships with end-use customers are favorable. Take appropriate action, where necessary, if customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of Chemtrade service.
- Independently develop/implement specific account by account tactical strategy to exceed contribution/margin plan, focusing on key criteria of volume, selling price, freight optimization and customer tank car hold time.
- Develop, analyze and negotiate sales agreements at strategic accounts with input from management in order to meet corporate objectives.
- Answer customer’s requests regarding their operation problems related directly or indirectly to the use of our products.
- Work with Business Unit Corporate Account Managers to coordinate both water business activities at Key Accounts and Key Account management program
- Develop relationship with the key engineering firms and construction Companies involved in the water chemicals market in NA to gain market knowledge and to position Chemtrade as their favorite coagulant option
- Effectively manage sales processes including: effective communication with customers (price change notifications, quotations, etc.) territory management and planning, budgeting and forecasting, call reports, expenses, etc.
- Communicates to the business factors that affect market conditions including competitive activity/pricing, end use/industry knowledge, environmental issues and their integration with CHEMTRADE business strategies. Uses this information to optimize decisions.Work with peers on market development and/or investigation
- Conscientiously review and communicate potential opportunities that add value to the current business strategies or fit the growth strategy.
**Reports to**: Sales Director - Water Chemicals
**Location**: Home based within Canada and the US with travel requirements
- The US base salary range for this position is $130,000 - 160,000 + bonus + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in the US roles postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives._
