ABOUT THE ROLE*

We are currently accepting resumes from **organized** and **team-oriented** individuals who are looking to further their career as a **Controller **at **Calmont Leasing** in our location **Edmonton.**

A **Controller** is responsible for planning, controlling, organizing and directing the to day operations of the company's accounting functions including revenue generation, collections, cash disbursements and payroll, cash management and the accounting and internal control of these in accordance with regulatory bodies and stakeholders. Some of the job duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Reviewing financial statement fluctuations and researching significant variances.
- Ensuring balance sheet accounts are fairly stated, liability accounts are adequately reserves and reconciling items are properly supported and cleared in a timely manner.
- Reviewing month end closing processes and procedures to shorten deadlines.
- Managing annual and project audits ensuring financial statements, working papers and documents meet audit requirements.
- CTC Controller oversees payroll functions for both divisions and approves biweekly payrolls and related remittances.
- Communicating guidelines for budget and forecast preparation as set by executive group.
- Ensure that business risks are appropriately identified and mitigated through appropriate internal controls and insurance coverage.
- Responsible for recruiting, training, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining accounting and administrative staff.
- Ensure all existing Management Information System software are maintained at most current levels.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
**DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Commerce or Business Management preferred.
- Minimum 5 years management experience as a financial officer.
- Working knowledge of a dealership management system such as AS400, Enrich or Karmak an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Self-starter with the ability to perform in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
