**Funding and donor development coordinator**

**Position Summary**

**The Funding Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative assistance and leading fund raising efforts to support to the Executive Director and members of the**
**Campaign Cabinet for the Building for Generations Capital Campaign which aims to build a new home for the Thrive Community Support Centre.**

**The Funding and Donor Development Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and together they will collaborate with the Campaign Cabinet to achieve the goals and objectives of Thrive in raising funds for its capital needs.**

**The coordinator has a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to, supporting the major gift initiatives of the Campaign Cabinet and others including donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and recognition activities, projects and events, progress tracking and reporting, and drafting appropriate major gifts publications.**

**The Coordinator should possess a minimum of 3 years of fundraising experience with at least 1 year in a major gift capacity, closing gifts of over $5K. Whether you have worked in a small or large organization, you have managed the donor cycle through identification, cultivation, and solicitation to stewardship. Intelligence, motivation, and insightfulness are a few key attributes important in the role, as is the ability to work independently and as a team, in a goal-oriented environment.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Provide responsive and timely administrative and organizational support for the regular activities of the Campaign including arranging and managing meetings; drafting correspondence and related materials; preparing Campaign proposals and briefing notes, proofreading materials as required; following up on various Campaign matters; and anticipating the needs of the Executive Director and Cabinet Committee re: meetings, appointments, etc.

Provide responsive and timely administrative and organizational support for all*
*Campaign meetings. Take notes and prepare reports for these meetings and any additional committee meetings, as scheduled.

Assist with the preparation of proposals and putting together packages for donors, foundations, grants, etc.

Management of Thrives fund raising database including issuing reports, inputting, and updating donor information, tracking campaign progress regular reviews of the donor database to ensure the accuracy of information-:

- Develop and maintain a detailed and effective donor prospect list to support the*
*Campaign using a variety of online and hard copy sources.
