Are you a motivated youth struggling to find employment?

The YJC program was developed to support and empower youth (ages 15-29) in their search for sustainable employment. If you are someone who has difficulty finding employment and would like extra support, the YJC program may be for you

Our program includes 60-90 hours of **paid pre-employment training**, with the ability to earn certificates (i.e., Smart Serve, Basic Food Safety Training, etc.), gain interview skills, update your resume, and more After the pre-employment training, youth employment counsellors will support you in finding entry level job opportunities to help you gain transferable skills and add on to your resume

To be eligible for the Youth Job Connection program, you must:

- Be between 15-29 years of age
- Not be employed
- Not be in school full time
- Be living in the Durham Region
- Have a valid SIN and piece of ID

This program will be held at our Whitby location (114 Dundas Street East, Unit #200) and group will run in-person Monday to Thursdays for 4-5 weeks. If accepted into the program, you will have the opportunity to work 1:1 with youth employment counsellors and have on-going support throughout the program.
