**Job Description**:
We are hiring for a
**Disability Assistant in Winnipeg, MB.**

The Disability Assistant provides support to the Head Office Litigation Team at Canada Life.

**What you will do**:

- Review track and prepare information required for New Actions received by the Canada Life Law Dept received for Group Disability, Group Life and Group Health and Dental Claims
- Assigning file and tracking information within an internal system called eCounsel
- Update various internal Disability systems, such as BEN, DCT, ULtera, and Noteit to show that file has gone into Litigation
- Request copy of contract for specific Group policy/policies relating to claims going into Litigation
- Populate internal spreadsheets and create documents providing claim information to our Senior Litigation Specialists to help with their review of files
- Request Disability Life Reserves through the Group Disability Payment System called BEN
- Issuing funds for Litigation settlements/re-instatement
- Issue payments within the Disability Payment System as instructed by Senior Litigation Specialists
- Populate internal tax forms as required to be sent to and handled by our Finance team
- Update various internal Systems confirming Litigation has been closed
- Create Litigation reporting on a Monthly/Quarterly basis
- Other admin tasks as required
