**Technician - Data Center Installations**

Our Storage Delivery Consultant role is a post-sales opportunity that ideally sees you call on your talent and technical expertise in the enterprise data centre space to install solutions for our customers.

**What you'll do**
- Work and coordinate directly with customers to coordinate installation schedules
- Perform data center equipment rack and stack, installations, and basic configurations
- Installation of components such as Hard Drives, memory and CPUs
- Equipment cabling including power, copper, and fiber
- Diagnose hardware and software issues
- Perform cabinet/cage audits and create rack elevation and topology diagrams
- Handle shipping and receiving of packages
- Work flexible shift schedules, including some evening and weekends (most work Mon-Friday)
- Work collaboratively with other technical resources and project managers
- Log time, attend team and one on one meetings and participate in annual goal setting
- Participate in training and attain industry certifications, as required

**Required Skills**:

- 5+ years of industry experience in infrastructure installation services
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Effective organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively in a team environment
- Professional demeanor, good communication, strong organizational and time management skills

**Preferred Skills**
- Windows, Linux or other Operating System experience
- Industry certifications related to networking, storage and compute
- Experience with structured fiber cabling, installing patch panels

**Physical Requirements**
- With assistance, be able to lift servers and other IT equipment more than 50 lbs
- Bend, stoop, and stretch as required for placement and retrieval of network devices, materials, or equipment
- Work under a raised data center floor
- Climb ladders to reach plenum spaces
- Driver's License and reliable transportation (mileage paid to and from customer sites)
