Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Extensive experience performing a full range of administrative/clerical duties
- Experience with the development and maintenance of administrative procedures and practices
- Experience working in a senior capacity in the preparation of high-level correspondence, memos, reports, requests for funding, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent political acumen skills
- Experience managing highly confidential information
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as significant amount of initiative
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet workload demands and dealines
- Ability to think creatively and manage change
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Outlook)

**Desired**:

- Experience with SAP and equivalent software

Reporting to the Associate Deputy Minister, the Administrative Officer is responsible for providing effective administrative and clerical direction to support the day-to-day functions of the office of the Associate Deputy Minister including the division’s senior management team.
