Qualifications:
Essential:
- Education in Business Administration, Public Sector Administration, Economics, Financial management or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in financial management, budgets, cash flow, reporting, and/or financial controls.
- Experience in office management including managing office space, furniture, equipment, telecommunication requirements, and information technology.
- Experience working with SAP modules, or other complex financial software/enterprise resource planning systems.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with external and internal stakeholders at various levels including senior management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Desired:
- Knowledge of government accounting systems, processes and/or procedures.
**Duties**:
The Administrative Officer (AO) assists with effective and timely recommendations and advice to management in all areas of administration, information technology, workplace, safety & health and comptrollership components including records management, procurement, risk management, human resources, financial management, grant accountability and legislative compliance.
Reporting to the Manager, Administration, the individual is the administration leader for their assigned branch(es), and participates as a member of the Branch Management team. The AO works closely with SAP Clerk(s) and Divisional Financial Analyst(s) and is responsible for branch operational reporting, which support Branch Management and ensure informed decision-making.
