Human Resources Advisor - YVR

**Reporting to a Human Resources Manager, the HR Advisor (HRA) will be responsible for supporting an internal operational client group in all areas of HR, primarily labour relations (including grievance management), employee relations, performance management H&S, workplace accommodations and leave management. The HRA will provide day to day support for all employees within their assigned client group, and specifically will guide/support front-line Managers in their assigned client group as needed.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Building trusted relationships with the Union as well as internal operational client group
- Guiding/supporting Managers on all HR issues
- Providing consultative support related to performance management.
- Grievance & attendance management as well as arbitration preparation
- Assessing leave requests
- Ensuring alignment with established policies and procedures
- Drive employee engagement in assigned client group
- Participate in development & delivery of training programs for Managers
- HR projects
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Must have a university Degree in Business or a related field. A Diploma will be considered in combination with extensive (5+) years of directly related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources, dealing with a unionized workforce.
- Strong critical thinking

**Requirements**:

- Office, Airport terminal
- Major activities include working on PC while sitting
- Physical effort Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting to 10 pounds, and limited stretching and reaching
- Travel: 15% or less, mainly within BC

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bilingual French/English.
- CPHR certification.
- Proficiency with the Google suite of Applications.
- Experience dealing with multiple unions among the same workforces.

**Allied Universal - Aviation Division delivers screening services in Vancouver International Airport and 20 other airports in BC and the Yukon Territory, in partnership with the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA).**
