The job primarily involves responsibility for all programs and activities related to curriculum and teaching aids, evaluation and assessment of learning, and business services (SAE) to companies and organizations.

The job involves playing a major role in providing operational expertise and consultation services with the Director General and all the school board's administrators in matters of adult education and vocational training.

ACCESS (Adult Continuing and Career Education on the South Shore) is the name of all the centres offering MEQ (Ministry of Education) approved services and programs in Adult General Education and Vocational Training. The centres offer of services and programs are all situated in the Montérégie, specifically, in St-Lambert, St-Hubert, Brossard, Longueuil, and Ste-Julie.

**AMONG OTHER DUTIES, THIS JOB INVOLVES THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Elaborate the school board's orientations and strategies regarding the adult education and vocational training services for which he/she is responsible and, where applicable, determine the annual action plan.
- Ensure the development of learning assessment standards and procedures.
- Participate in the distribution of teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as programs of study and other services offered by the school board's various centers.
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets and the allocation of resources in the centers.
- Contribute to the development of the school calendar and, where applicable, to the establishment of group forming rules.
- Ensure compliance with pedagogical regimes, programs of study and certification terms and conditions.
- Develop a policy for evaluating the educational performance of the school board's clientele.
- Ensure the development of a client grading policy.
- Implement and support various consultation and consensus-building mechanisms.
- Develop policies relating to the organization of adult education and vocational training services.
- To develop, where appropriate, a program of complementary services for the clientele served.
- Promote adult education and vocational training services and develop the market and service offering.
- Develop and consolidate partnerships with relevant organizations.
- Directs activities related to the registration and admission of clienteles, manages and follows up on enrolment declarations and ensures the transmission of school results to the MEQ.
- Ensure the visibility and promotion of the programs and services offered by the school board, as well as the preparation and distribution of service offers.
- Negotiate and conclude partnership agreements, where applicable, with Emploi Québec, local development centers and private enterprise.
- Direct the school board's programs and activities with respect to services to businesses and organizations.
- Assume assigned responsibilities in matters of development and international cooperation.
- Develop and provide management and training tools for adult and vocational education and vocational training to meet the needs of our establishments.
- Ensure the transmission of all relevant information to support school board administrators.
- Intervene, as needed, in the school board's establishments and administrative units to evaluate problem situations and propose appropriate solutions.
- Fiduciary for the Entente-Canada-Québec (ECQ) funding and reporting: RECIT, DEAFC.
- Responsible for the service of recruitment of students, local and international (RISE), in AGE and VT and the development of their activities.
- Represent the school board for AGE and VT sectors in the Montérégie and in the province by attending different committees.
- Develop and promote new vocational training programs by requesting new cards and investigate previous authorization requests (re-requesting programs).
- Responsible for the Public contracts for the sectors and for publishing on the SEAO governmental platform.

**IN THE OVERALL MANAGEMENT OF THE SCHOOL BOARD**
- Participate in defining and determining the vision, organizational values, strategic directions, objectives and priorities.
- Collaborate in the development of the staffing plan and budget allocation.
- Represent the school board on matters relating to adult education and vocational training services.
