**Job description - Title: Estimator & Project-Coordinator**

**The Role**

To assist the Sales Department in meeting and where possible exceeding company targets.

Reporting to and taking direction from the sales & marketing manager.
- Forming and writing estimates
- Generating estimates/Part Numbers for IMS sales staff to use in quoting
- Make basic drawings for sales staff to utilise with customers
- Work with procurement regarding materials required
- Order processing / Passing ‘won’ quotes over to the applicable team member for smooth and efficient actioning
- Ensuring all estimates are entered into E2
- Analyse data that can effect costs (such as currency exchange rates and job cost summaries)
- Ensuring quotes amended to won/lost in accordance with process flow
- Help develop & nurture ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain the professional image of the company in accordance with IMS’s brand & vision
- Ensuring accurate data entered & available in order for sales & marketing manager to produce KMIs and other such reports
- Help ensure customer expectations are achieved and where possible exceeded
- Help ensure customer fulfillment system/process flow is followed and adhered to
- Report to sales & marketing manager on status of estimates
- Effectively manage own time
- Assess the financial, technical and operational risks involved in a project

**Role Summary**

As the estimator at IMS you will be responsible for all estimating on all potential orders, from small retail parts to large fabrication projects. You will work collaboratively with the Sales & Marketing manager to ensure the sales team at IMS have what they need to quote customers.

Then once we get the go ahead from our customers you will play a vital part in processing the order for hand off to our shop manager (for fab parts) or our inventory control person (for retail parts).

**Skills (preferred)**

Industry experience & knowledge. However this is NOT essential but a positive attitude and willingness to help move the business to where it wants to be is

Field and/or shop experience

Drawing & Design experience

Understanding of inventory control and purchasing

Understanding of Fabrication/Manufacturing, Machining or Mechanical processes
