The **Estimator** has overall responsibility for the timely and complete production of all estimates for projects on which the company has been invited to bid. The Estimator ensures that company processes and resources are in place to properly price bids and sustain profitability. You will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for small to large sized projects. Will be required to analyze information, specifications, proposals, and important metrics, to provide quantity take-off and accurate costing. The estimating process includes reading drawings, quantity take-off, analyzing company's data, writing proposals, and obtaining costs for materials.

**$30-32 per hour** - to be negotiated, based on experience and expertise

This is a full-time position from Mon-Fri, 7:30AM-4:00PM
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Reviews project plans and specifications and coordinates with the team to confirm complete scope
- Reviews general conditions, schedule, scopes of work, site logistics etc.
- Solicits subcontractor and/or supplier information & pricing
- Reviews material requirements with Purchasing department
- Maintains and communicates data on labour and material cost trends affecting project costs
- Be responsible for the final preparation and bid submissions
- Compile and prepare all estimating information obtained during the bid for accurate record keeping and reference
- Builds effective and productive relationships with customers, design teams, specialty contractors, suppliers, and other collaborators
- Reflect and support company core values to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Participates in periodic reviews and visits to project sites as required
- Conducts handover meetings for new contracts with Project Management team including detailed scope review, qualifications, allowances
- Working with Project Management to review and process change orders
- **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:_
- Experience navigating architectural plans and specifications
- Knowledge of section specifics pertaining to Architectural Millwork - Division 5 - Architectural Metalwork, Division 6 -Architectural Millwork, Division 8 -Wood Doors, Division 9 - Finishes, Wood Slat ceiling and wall panels
- Working knowledge of AWMAC/AWI/WI regulations and requirements
- Intermediate level skills with MS OFFICE; Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, etc. Bluebeam Revu,
- Takeoff experience (an asset)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet critical timelines
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- **Education and Experience**_
- **Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an Estimating position in an Architectural Millwork or General Contractor environment required.**:

- Trade qualification in related field is considered an asset, but not mandatory

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
