Parksville, Canada SOS - Society of Organized Services Full time

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Maintains the SOS Membership and Volunteer program through recruiting, interviewing, selecting, scheduling, and supervising volunteers. You will ensure the program is administered in a professional and efficient manner with attention to confidentiality, safety for clients and volunteers, and appropriate training of volunteers. You will promote volunteer opportunities and volunteerism through public presentations; maintain the SOS Volunteer Recruitment Plan; and coordinate volunteer appreciation events and activities. As a member of the Administration Team, you will provide support and coverage for the administration office and programs when needed.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- At least two years’ previous experience in a similar environment.
- Previous supervisory and interviewing experience.
- Relevant experience and education in volunteer management and courses in business management.
- Strong administrative skills, knowledge and experience in office procedures and computers (Microsoft 365, specifically Excel, Outlook, SharePoint/OneDrive) and database management.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including excellent presentation and community relations skills.
- Ability to work both independently, and in a team, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

**Hours of Work**: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, occasional evening/weekend

**Compensation**: $24.00 per hour + Vacation
