**Position Summary**:
The Administrative & Project Coordinator provides executive level administrative support to the Director of Community Strategies & Family Supports as well as back up support to the Management team within the department. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Provide administrative support in the delivery of department programs and projects by coordinating activities, events and other tasks
- Draft legal documents, templates, forms, agreements and correspondence
- Liaise with Provincial and Municipal staff by clarifying and interpreting programs guidelines in order to maximize and implement issues associated with the various programs
- Liaise with the Communications department regarding web updates for the Community Strategies and Family Supports department
- Respond to external inquiries by providing advice, interpreting policy and/or make the appropriate referrals
- Streamline administrative support to the Director, Manager and Project Coordinators within the Community Strategies and Family Supports department
- Distributing agendas, minutes, new policies and bulletins to staff regarding department programs and projects
- Maintain policy and procedure manuals
- Prepare and deliver training material
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or Diploma in Business or Administration or equivalent field of study.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience working as an Administrative Assistant or equivalent.
- Experience in a municipal office preferred.
- Demonstrated competencies requiring advanced skills and abilities in all facets of modern office practices and technology. Experience utilizing technology in meeting planning to create efficiencies and streamline tracking and retrieval of information.
- Understanding and management of tracking and filing systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of contract development and monitoring.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of tact, discretion and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational, follow-through and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and accurately manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive and highly confidential environment.
- Excellent judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to take and transcribe minutes.
- Ability to recognize sensitive issues and respond appropriately.
- Valid G Class Driver's License required.

**WAGE/SALARY RANGE**: $36.89 to $46.11 per hour (35 hours per week) plus benefits.
