**Hansen's Group of Companies **currently hiring a **temporary** **Part-Time, Claims Administrator** to join our growing team at **Head Office** located in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. This position may evolve into Full-Time permanent employment.
The **_Part-Time, Claims Administrato_**r reports to the **Claims Manager** and supporting a variety of tasks including answering phone calls, administering damage and delay claims, filing and maintaining accurate documentation. Additionally, this role shall administer damage recoveries, coordinate with various Departments and with Claimants to resolve and settle claims, and maintaining a monthly claims report for statistic use and monitoring claim trends.

Job Duties
- Receive and respond to phone calls.
- Review notifications and add notes in the Cargotel order system.
- Open claim files as required.
- Check the website for claims submitted online and prepare for response.
- Coordinate with other Departments within the Company, i.e. request for Bill of Lading (BOLs) and Cargo Damage Incident Report (CDIRs)
- Ensure timely administration of all approved or denied claims.
- Process approved claims and send notification to Accounting.
- Process Broker or 3rd Party recoveries and update the Active Recovery Log.
- Ensure Claim Declination Letters are sent out in a timely manner.
- Log all claims and maintain the monthly claims report for OEMs
- Arrange rental cars for the Customers from Enterprise/National Rent-A-Car.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Education & Experience
- Post-Secondary Education in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management or related.
- (1 - 3) years' related experience in a claims or related combination of experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a team and with employees at various Levels.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Demand
- Ability to sit for more than 1 hour.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to view computer screen for long periods of time
Work Environment
- Work Hours: 3 Days per week, 8.30 am - 5.00 pm, 30 min Lunch.
- Occasional Overtime as required.
- Indoors Office.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
