Why is this role important?
- In this role you will be making use of your analytical skills, knowledge of the health care system, and/or research methods capabilities. As a co-op student you will be involved in a variety of activities that support priority project for our department, that help drive CIHI’s overall mandate to deliver on better data, better decisions, for healthier Canadians. This unique opportunity will expose you to areas of health informatics, epidemiology, statistics, and health system performance.
- What you'll do
- As a co-op student you will be involved in a variety of activities including supporting CIHI’s Your Health System web tool, which provides health system decision-makers with key health indicators for hospitals, long-term care facilities and health regions
- You may also be involved in conducting literature reviews and/or environmental scans in assigned areas of research, preparing a written summary of the findings and presenting it to a research team.
- Providing internal client support, participating in discussions regarding analytical issues and working with other CIHI teams

What you'll bring to the table
- Be well organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Be interested in contributing to a strong team environment.
- Be familiar with standard word processing, spreadsheet, database, and communications software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Fluency in English required, bilingualism in both official languages is an asset
