Human Resources Administrator

The Human Resources Coordinator, under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, completes day-to-day human resources activities field staff work attendance, requests for leave of absences and return to work from leaves of absences. Additionally, this position will assist and support branch retention initiatives.
**Status**:
Full Time 1 Year Contract
37.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Hybrid office schedule - Minimum 3 days in office per week
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Follow-up with field staff attendance issues once identified (i.e., /consistent cancellation of shifts, not updating or entering work availabilities in scheduling system, not replying to staffing office calls for shifts etc.) and engage branch directors of any complex/challenging field staff attendance issues to be managed.
- Conduct ongoing reach out to field staff to assist and support them in consistent and continued work availability.
- Assist with field staff requests for personal leave, government legislated leaves and medical leaves.
- Assist with field staff requests for return to work from personal leaves, government legislated leaves and medical leaves.
- Assist with workplace injury/illness reports from field staff and completion of all necessary forms required for submission to appropriate provincial workers safety insurance board.
- Conduct field staff exit interviews on resignation.
- Maintain employee human resources files.
- Maintain current knowledge of provincial legislation relating to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health and Safety, and Labor laws; assist the Area Director to handle real or suspected violations of legislated requirements.
- Assist with progressive discipline and counseling of employees via our Performance Improvement Action Plan process.
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
- Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
- Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
- Complete other tasks as requested.
Job Qualification
**Education**
Completion of a recognized Human Resources certificate or diploma program
**Experience**
A minimum of two years human resources experience preferred.
**Other Skills and Abilities**
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format; ability to work independently and as part of a team; competency in keyboarding and Windows software; ability to operate all standard office equipment; commitment to continued learning.
