London, Canada London Cross Cultural Learner Centre Full time

The Cross Cultural Learner Centre is a non-profit organization, located in London, Ontario, that provides settlement services for newcomers to Canada. We are currently looking for a full-time permanent **Volunteer Coordinator** to join our team. This role works 12pm to 8pm - two days per week, 9am to 5pm - three days per week and one Saturday per month when events are happening.

The CCLC is a great place to work and make a difference. This is your opportunity to help newcomers make London their home. We offer full benefits (medical, dental, travel, life, and disability), a pension, generous paid time off, and the opportunity to do challenging, meaningful work.

The Volunteer Coordinator promotes social and professional networking that addresses language and cultural barriers faced by newcomers to Canada. This position is responsible for recruiting, orienting and coordinating volunteers who act as mentors for clients and supports various programming needs including occasional group facilitation. In this role you will also develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations to increase volunteer recruitment.

Having a social service background, the ability to go out into the community to find volunteers and a passion for working with people from all over the world will ensure you successful in this role. The ability to speak a second language is a great asset. You will also need a Valid Ontario Driver’s license without restrictions and access to a reliable vehicle for off-site activities.

As CCLC works with vulnerable clients in our community, you’ll need to be able to pass a Vulnerable Persons Police Check to work for our organization.

If you’d like to join our team, the first step is to send us a resume and cover letter introducing yourself. Please highlight your experience in volunteer recruitment and working with newcomers.

We look forward to hearing from you.
