Reporting to Coordinator, Volunteer Services, the Volunteer Resource Associate is responsible for daily site operation of the Volunteer Office (VH), dealing with volunteer recruitment and coverage for the programs utilizing volunteers throughout Victoria Hospital and Children’s Hospital, and ensuring quality volunteer experiences by establishing positive relationships with staff and volunteers. The Volunteer Resource Associate conducts volunteer interviews, processes appropriate documentation, facilitates training and orientation, offers ongoing support and guidance, and provides feedback on performance. The Volunteer Resource Associate also responds to inquiries/problems from volunteers, staff and the public

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum two (2) year College diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related acceptable to the hospital
- Minimum two (2) years, related experience working with volunteers preferably within a healthcare setting
- Volunteer Management Certification preferred
- Excellent verbal and communication skillsAdvanced interview skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong critical thinking, conflict resolution and crucial conversation skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task dealing with continuous change and constant interruptions
- Proficient leadership skills and comfort with public speaking
- Advanced public and employee relations using diplomacy and creativity
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
