**Project Manager, Construction**

**Reporting to: Manager of Project Management**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for leading heavy civil construction projects in the City of Ottawa and surrounding areas
- Includes but not limited to road reconstruction, sewer and water, site servicing, subdivision development, mass excavation and other similar projects
- Leading, planning, organizing all aspects of projects in accordance with project specifications
- Oversee and provide valuable direction to supervisors and various sub-contractors
- Being apart of all on-site project activities
- Manage the CPM schedule (after developing with Scheduler) with the assistance of the Project Coordinator
- Prepare look-ahead schedules for resource planning
- Work with Client/ Engineer to quantify all monthly contract billings
- Review and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices
- Review, track, analyze and report on project financials monthly
- Review, analyze accounts payable material orders
- Identify and negotiate additional work throughout project with Client/Engineer/Contract Administrator to ensure changes are properly documented
- Attend site and Client/Engineer/Contract Administrator progress meetings
- Engage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure common goals are achieved and corporate interests are kept in mind
- Other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Successful completion of a post-secondary program (college or university) in Engineering, Science, Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years directly related experience
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities will be considered
- Professional designations, training or certificates in project management considered an asset
