**How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?**:
The Canadian IM business is organized into three regions with primary focus on servicing our clients on Bulk, Cylinder Gases and Welding Products. The regional organization is responsible for their customer portfolio, market share and customer experience. The General Managers main object and purpose is managing all field activities in alignment with ALC’s strategic objectives and in coordination with the other units of the organization. The incumbent’s direct team includes sales teams, satellite/store teams, cylinder logistics and administration. As the leader of the region they are also accountable for ensuring all local activities and kpi’s are aligned with HO objectives for reliable Cylinder filling activities, bulk logistics, engineering and business development. Additionally as owner of the regional IM strategic plan, the incumbent owns the relationships between the region and corporate functions, ensuring the alignment for customer experience, employee experience and market share growth. With a large sales portfolio, the incumbent maintains a high level of interaction with customers, all while promoting ALC’s quality and safety objectives.
**Quality/Safety/Compliance**:Leads the safety culture for the regional team. Actively promotes ALC safety and quality objectives. Owns, knows and respects all procedures as indicated in the ALC Quality and compliance Manuals. Ensure compliance of all activities but more specifically medical gases sales, storage and distribution. Leads safety events, addresses root causes and owns IMS strategic plans for the region. Make sure the appropriate corrective and preventive measures are in place in order to answer employee/customer complaints.
**Defines and delivers regional strategic plan**: Ensures the development and the successful implementation of the regional strategic plan and is responsible for the achievement of profitable growth within the Region. Is directly involved in leading the sales effort through cross-functional sales teams. Is responsible for endorsement and enforcement of the national policies and procedures and the achievement of operational efficiencies.
**Assumes responsibility for his/her scope’s financial results**
- Accountable for his/her region’s PL. Owns the sales results and profitability, including pricing strategy and the efficiency projects required to increase margin.
- Establishes operating budgets and financial forecasts.
- Implements appropriate corrective measures and ensures that objectives are met, as established by the strategic planning process.
- Is responsible for field administration functions: billing, collecting, etc.
**Is responsible for cylinder logistics **and must assure alignment with regional cylinder production and bulk logistics/customer installation : Is responsible for local cylinder production and distribution, striving for the highest quality of products and services at the lowest cost through optimisation of manpower and capital assets, while respecting the procedures and policies of the company. Is responsible for preventative maintenance of Bulk installations, and of technical services on the territory of his/her Regional Centre.
**Leads transformation project **for the region Develops roll out plan to meet transformation project objectives. Oversees the change management and communication to ensure regional teams adopt any changes proposed by the corporation.
**Process improvement**: Works with his/her team as well as with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the work process. Continuously analyzes the functioning of the activity, identifies causes of dysfunction and proposes corrective measures accordingly.

**Are you a MATCH?**:
- **Diploma**: Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
- **Training**: Executive management program.
- **Knowledge**: Business and finance, technical awareness, MS Office, oral and written communication skills.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the industry.
- Minimum 5 years experience or demonstrated abilities to lead large multi function teams
