Our rental service proudly operates out of Surrey and serves the Greater Vancouver Area. Our unique business model allows us to be a mobile service, which means our patrons get to experience many of the outdoor wonders in multiple locations with delivery, pick up, and personalized itinerary. Our mission is to enable locals and tourists to expand their experience of BC, get active, and lead a healthier lifestyle.

This position requires to be a combination of remote work and in person at our Surrey office.The position also requires weekend availability.

**SUMMARY**:
Adventure Outdoors is looking a Summer Media Coordinator to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of our media campaigns and create a strong digital presence for the company. This role will involve marketing capabilities as well as videography/photography skills.

**REPORTS TO**:Director of Operations

**SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS**:
**Videography/Photography**:

- Strong storytelling skills and able to capture events using advanced camera gear
- Understands technical aspects of video and photo production such as camera settings, lighting, sound recording and editing

**Digital Marketing/Social Media Management**:

- Able to create new and engaging content
- Effectively manage the company's social media presence across various platforms
- Strong creative skills and able to creating engaging content for our target audience
- Able to use analytics tools to monitor and measure performance
- Able to respond to comments and messages in a timely manner and engage with social media followers

**Client Services**:

- Ability to communicate efficiently and professionally with clients
- Interact with clients on behalf of the company

**Teamwork**:

- Works well with others
- Able to coordinate tasks, share resources, plan, make decisions, negotiate, solve conflicts and complete other activities that involve teamwork

**Communication**:

- Able to produce concise information that is in both writing and verbal
- Able to provide detailed responses to questions and keep others informed of work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional demeanor with strong active listening skills

**Digital Skills**:

- Experience using social media platforms
- Experience with Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Dropbox

**REQUIREMENTS**:
As part of the Canada Summer Jobs program, the selected applicant must:

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and are legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

**DAILY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS**:

- Create videos and photography to document our summer activities
- Implement and troubleshoot media content on our digital platofrms
- Update our social media channels, website, marketplace ads
- Assist with digital marketing campaigns

**Job Types**:

- Seasonal

**Pay**:
$17.00 per hour

**Difficulty**: Entry Level
