**Responsibilities**:

- Procuring materials, supplies, equipment, and services for operations.
- Review of requisition requests, prepare purchase orders, and solicit bids for material and services.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings in terms of dimensioning, tolerancing etc.
- Accountable for all purchasing activities, managing suppliers, in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
- Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders for products and services based on negotiated costs and deliverables; Manage a portfolio of materials and suppliers to ensure that product manufacturing targets are met.
- Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials, and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact to business operations.
- Identify new or alternate sources of supply while maintaining alignment to the long-term supply chain strategy.
- Work cross-functionally across the organization and with suppliers to solve any issues related to material supply, costing, and any related discrepancies regarding purchase order to invoice.
- Coordinate shipments and receive/track deliveries from local and overseas suppliers.
- Expedite orders to meet expected lead times.
- Update Order Item Status in ERP system on a daily basis.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications & Key Competencies**:

- BS in Business Administration or related field; or actual working experience
- 2-3 years’ sales/ purchase related experience in metals industry is an asset.
- Experience/ knowledge in metals industry is desirable.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Strong team player with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with Sales, Shipping & Receiving, Production, Suppliers and Customers.
- Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and an ability to follow policies and procedures.

**Salary**: $37,464.02-$50,000.00 per year
