Marcello’s Independent City Market is hiring

We are looking to hire a Full Time Fresh Manager (must have knowledge in Meat, Deli & Cheese and Food service counter)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offer exceptionally friendly and dedicated service to each and every customer
- Initiate suggestive selling to increase the awareness of high quality products and offerings
- Prepare various products for sale including the packaging, weighing, pricing, dating, labelling and wrapping of fresh products
- Monitor product production for cooking consistency and flavour, and product quality.
- Ensure merchandise displays are visually appealing
- Monitor and replenish service and self counters, always ensure full presentation.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the department
- Follow store safety procedures at all times when operating food prep equipment (fryers, ovens, etc)
- Ensure equipment and machinery are clean and sanitized on scheduled time.
- Conduct regular food temperature checks as per food safety standard operating procedures, complete logs accordingly)
- Managing and Training all new staff
- Cutting cheese/Cheese knowledge
- Meat department and deli department is self serve. (No slicing/cutting required)
- must ensure meat and deli at a high standard.

*minimum of 2 years in retail food service.

*must have experience managing

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
