Why is this role important?

**Job Description**:
The Specialist, Quality Compliance and Assurance reports into the Manager, Quality Compliance and Assurance and is responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the production life cycle. This role focuses on the partnership and collaboration with key cross functional business partners and vendor partners for support in achieving the organization’s quality expectations at factory level.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Responsible for ensuring finish product meets Joe Fresh quality requirements prior to factory departure. This includes, but not limited to regulatory compliance, product quality, product safety, colour standards, product labeling, packing and shipping requirements
- Responsible for monitoring the quality of the finished product through random audits of the vendor’s final AQL reports to ensure quality compliance
- Accountable for reporting product non-compliance, failed final AQL audit results and propose corrective action plans on a regular basis to the Manager, Quality Compliance and Assurance
- Continuous cross departmental collaboration with the Production and Technical Design teams to conduct the necessary quality assessments at factory level and establish course of action when quality issues arise at sampling stage
- Responsible for engaging Cross-functional teams when quality concerns arise to support monitoring and corrective action plans at factory level
- Identify process gaps observed on final AQL reports and work with vendor base to educate and train factory QA teams on Joe Fresh’s Quality protocol
- Responsible for following up with vendors to ensure all orders are complete, inspected, and shipment timelines are maintained
- Responsible for tracking and recording the results of the vendor defect report
- Assist with preparing quarterly status reports for vendor performance and offer feedback based on observations related to the vendor’s quality system and AQL audit compliance
- Support the Manager, Quality Compliance and Assurance with departmental tasks when required & complete special projects as assigned
- Responsible for staying current and maintaining a strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards

Qualifications:

- Strong cross-functional communication and working knowledge of all aspects of product/apparel development and production life-cycle
- Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design and Technologies
- Minimum 6 years of apparel manufacturing experience specializing in quality assurance, production and/or technical design
- Displays strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be forward thinking with a can-do attitude
- Must have strong analytical skills and be able to make independent decisions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft Suite
- PLM systems knowledge considered an asset
