**Settlement Equity Collective Project Outreach and Engagement Worker**

TNO - The Neighbourhood Organization (TNO) is a well-established community-based social and health service agency providing a wide range of programs and services supporting low-income and newcomer communities across Ontario and sometimes across different provinces through online services and referrals. We seek an **Outreach and Engagement Worker for the** **Settlement Equity Collective Project **to join our team in a **part-time contract**role. TNO is a great place to work and we make a difference in the communities we serve.

You will succeed in this role if you have a College Diploma in Social Sciences, Social Services, and Community Development or a related field. You have demonstrated experience working with diverse communities in the context of community engagement and outreach, particularly with racialized communities and organizations. You can deliver presentations and facilitate workshops to increase awareness and promote project objectives. You can engage with diverse stakeholders and build relationships effectively through strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Reporting to the Manager, Language and Skills Development, the **Settlement Equity Collective Project Outreach and Engagement Worker **will work with the Project Coordinator in implementing a successful community engagement process. The successful applicant will be responsible for engaging and connecting with grassroots groups, racialized communities and organizations to promote the project's objectives and support the participation of potential clients. The role involves building relationships, raising awareness, and facilitating the recruitment and engagement of eligible clients, as well as providing administrative support to the project. Through the outreach efforts, you will contribute to the project's goal of equipping small racialized organizations with the tools and resources to navigate funding processes and provide effective settlement services.

Part of your primary responsibilities will be conducting proactive outreach activities, building and maintaining strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders, and delivering engaging outreach presentations and information sessions.

**Screening** - As a condition of employment, the successful applicant must complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening.

**Job Type**: Part-time contract position until July 31, 2024

**Schedule**: 21 hours per week
- This position may require conducting outreach and community engagements on evenings and weekends as well.
