- Job SummaryThe position provides administrative support to the Field Education Coordinators in the administration and coordination of field placement arrangements for all undergraduate and graduate Social Work students. The position also works closely with the Associate Directors of the School of Social Work and associated faculty and sessional lecturers teaching in the practicum courses across all programs. The support of this position is pivotal in ensuring timely, accurate, and safe student field experiences.

Support to the Field Education Coordinators involves providing data management of student and field education experience details including entry, tracking, reconciling, and generating reports using a variety information management systems.

The position supports practicum course delivery through assisting with student course registrations and assisting with organization and distribution of liaisons, agency supervisors and student orientation information.
- Job Requirements**Experience**:
This role requires a minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in a similar position, preferably in a post-secondary or institutional environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

**Preference will be given to applicants with**:
Experience with UVic information systems (Banner, FAST Reporting, etc.)

- Demonstrated experience in strong technical support skills and knowledge, including database management systems.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability with procedural and technical change.
- Ability to exercise initiative, set priorities, work under pressure and meet strict and often emergent deadlines
- Ability to work independently with mínimal guidance and as part of a team.
- Exhibits excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt depending on audience.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently display professionalism, courtesy and empathy, and maintain confidentiality, in particular during complex and sensitive interactions involving emotional or stressful circumstances.

**Specialized Knowledge/Education**:
Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
