**Duties**:
As an IS-06 you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Leading, planning, developing and managing communications and marketing strategies, policies and programs for the RCMP by supporting the Director of Communication and/or leading a minimum of two (2) communications teams.
- Providing complex, objective and non-partisan advice to executives, including a Commanding Officer or equivalent (EX-02 and higher).
- Representing the organization to other government organizations, other levels of government, industries and stakeholders on high profile, strategic, government-wide communications issues and ensure communications are aligned with organizational priorities, guidelines, the Government of Canada Policy on Communications and Federal Identity, and the Directive on the Management of Communications.
- Participating in the budgetary decision-making process and as a member of the management team, discussing annual budget allotments and providing input on how to manage financial resource shifts to meet overall operational goals.
