As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Parliamentary Food Services you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of food associates, servers, and culinary staff.

**What You’ll Do**:
**You’ll act with integrity to**:

- Welcome customers, with service provided to the highest professional standards.
- Ensure efficient service by assisting guests ensuring customer satisfaction, dealing with customer concerns and complaints.
- Demonstrate good judgement for cash management.

**You’ll support our collaboration as you**:

- Provide a positive, enthusiastic approach while promoting cooperative and effective working relationships with co-workers and customers.
- Work with the culinary team to ensure efficient service, quality food and presentation.
- Ensure consistent quick service at the grill by expediting orders and helping guests move through the grill area.

**How You Qualify**:
**You demonstrate excellence through your**:

- Ordering and receiving of all food inventory and ensure all items are sorted and stored properly according to health food standards.
- Maintenance of all public seating areas around the café by sanitizing tables after every guest, keeping the area clean, and ensuring garbage area is tidy and emptied.
- Ensuring POS terminals are in working order, and cash floats are available and running reports from the POS system.
- Performing closing duties, ensuring cash register is properly closed out.
- Restocking and checking expiry dates.
- Compliance with all Health and Safety requirements ensuring correct work procedures are followed, communicating hazard information and control procedures.
- Proper and timely cleaning/maintenance of all kitchen/cafeteria equipment.
- Completion of the inventory physical count and spreadsheets as required.
- Performing clerical and banking duties when required.
- Secondary high school graduation certificate or a related diploma in the hospitality industry and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Exceptional time management and problem solving skills, capable of multi-tasking and taking initiative.
- Food Safe Level 1 sanitation program for food handlers.
- Smart Serve Certificate required.
