**As our Project Scheduler, you will be responsible to**:

- Ensure scheduling objectives are met
- Maintain an up to date database of staff which specifies their level of training, location of training and required health and safety training
- Estimate upcoming staffing requirements for the continued efficiency of company operations
- Provide alternative scheduling for conflicts, taking into account the required level of training required for each position and location
- Advise management of the status of work in progress and any potential problems to ensure that employees and services are provided as needed
- Visit worksites as required for on-site coordination and scheduled meetings.
- Demonstrate work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training
- Work with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes with scheduling

**Qualifications required**:

- Related college diploma or formal certification and typically 3+ years of planning and scheduling experience; or combination of formal education and experience.
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Project experience required
- Experience in a similar position with an Electrical/Instrumentation contractor preferred.
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Sound planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Demonstrated ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanour
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to periodically travel to worksites
