**Position Summary**:
This Estimator position reports into the Project Services Manager.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Estimation: Preparing quantity estimates and quotations based on customer requests by gathering all required information in a timely manner.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication is essential to deliver and follow-up with estimates to internal and external clients. Communication is constant throughout the entire bid process.
- Organization: Ability to focus on multiple tasks and use time effectively to ensure commitments are met.
**Major Responsibilities**:
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and other related documents.
- Provide clear and detailed quantity take-offs.
- Process quantity estimates and quotations in response to customer requests.
- Analyze drawings and specifications.
- Prepare cost-analysis.
- Organizes and implements strategies to increase profitability by assisting in value design work, supporting the sales force with follow up and negotiations with clients to compliment sales.
- Assess pricing per project in cooperation with territory managers and the regional sales manager, to win business while maintaining acceptable profit margins.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors.
**Qualifications**:
- Construction Estimation, Architectural Technology, or post-secondary diploma within a similar field.
- 3-5 years of estimating experience with preference within ICI construction industry. Previous experience in metal wall cladding, metal roofing systems, insulated metal panels and or composite panel systems would be an asset.
- Computer savvy; strong proficiency with MS Office, SAP and working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Sketch Up and/or other estimating programs.
- Ability to read Architectural drawings and specifications.
- Strong business communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to express and promote estimates to internal and external clients.
- EIT preferred
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset but not required.
