Pelican International is looking for its next Payroll and Benefits Technician.

**YOUR DAY IN THIS POSITION**:

- Process and verify the entire payroll cycle ;
- Make employee status changes in Kronos Platform and Nethris (EmployeurD) Payroll System (CGI);
- Prepare all required internal and external reports.
- Participate in various periodic payroll analyses;
- Product various Record of employment RETAP;
- Manage group benefit plans including enrolment, radiation or change membership (Insurance, RRSP, etc.);
- Optimize the efficiency of payroll processes;
- Monitor and control compliance with various laws, collective agreements, administrative directives, insurance contracts, CNESST;
- Respond to requests for information from managers and employees.

**WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU**:
You have more than 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in this position, particularly in a small to medium-sized company.

You have excellent communication skills in French, preferably bilingual and are proficient in Excel, MS-Office, Nethris (EmployeurD) and Timesheet module Kronos de UKG.

Membership in the National Payroll Institute and PCP Certification are consider as assets.

Finally, you have the ability to work simultaneously on several files and priority management is one of your strengths.

You are known for your proactivity, your interpersonal skills and your ability to explain technical concepts related to payroll.
